Anyone has ever heard of a ZC VTEC... Or is this just a regular ZC with a Vtec Added On.... ZC VTEC SOHC And is it faster than a zc DOHC? and who would win if both engines were on an EF and raced HEAD to HEAD ! THnx FOr Helping OUt Peace

i'm not an expert on zc's but to my knowledge the dohc non vtec zc engine is better then the sohc vtec version which is similar to the d16z6 engine... to cams are always better then one

the dohc zc has superior mid range power adn torque...the vtec zc is identical to the usdm sohc vtec mtoor...has no gut's until the mad vtec powa kicks in...dohc is better...has better pistons and rods too boot...jsut remember to select the right tranny ie atleast the si tranny for best cruise adn accell...or the zc for close ratio btu higher cruise rpm's

the vtec zc's are obd 1 so 1992-95

Dohc zc's are 88-92 for teh first gen obd 0 ones which are easiest to swap into a ef...or the newer/ most times better condition 92-95 obd 1 dohc motor which is slightly rare but a good fine
