whistling noise

ive been hearing this higher pitched whistling noise that happens when i press on the gas most of the time, i thought it was just something wrong with my air vents before when i was driving fast, but when i was backing into my driveway yestarday i heard it again. It only happens when i press on the gas. And happens more noticeably when im downshifting. Any idea what this could be?

doesnt even have to be aftermarket, my moms 99 ex sometimes makes a whistliing sound, it most probably is coming from the airbox.
just think of it as a supercharger.

naw i dont have an aftermarket intake but i plan on buying one, do they make whistling noises? Is the intake always pulling in air, or only when it gets too hot? i havent tried to check if it only happens after extended periods of driving, i drove today and didnt hear it on short trips to and from school.

My car kind of makes a whistling supercharger type sound but I only notice it while pulling between 2500-3000 RPMS. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
