yes the tires are 205/40/17 and it doesnt rub all the time. It only ever hits the thing in the top of the wheel well when going over really deep holes or when there is an abrupt up and down in the road.

I can see the spots in the wheel well where the tires have rubbed.

Chris that piece is there because of the welding technique used and is important to maintain the strength of that wled without it it would fall apart...

7.5 inch wide rims don't work .. face it morve on get over it and fix it the proper way don't do half *** solutions ....

or do half assed solutions what should I care it ain't my car .... this is the point where I have to stop helping due to high PITA factor here...

aight well then I wont flattten that piece out. If it was that easy and i had the money I would have new rims already but unless your gonna be giving me the money for my rims then im stuck with what I have right now.

I have not gotten the spacers yet but I will be doing that soon. Right now my main concern is with the tire hitting the top of the wheel well. the rims being 7.5" wide has no affect on that so I want some suggestions on a way to rectify this issue

The biggest thing I would also be worried about, along with the suspension set-up is that I have seen many times that they can cause a wicked vibration, like your tires and rims are way out of balance, just because the rotate with the wheel and hub. If not really good ones, this will happen.....

I am aleady trying to sell the rims with no luck or offers yet. The rims are only slightly too wide, there not too big. You make it sound so easy but its really not
