Wheel Bearing Toast....Need help!!!

yup did that on the weekend ... no play in and out or up and down. I guess its just uneven where on my wheels. I did rotate them since last season so that sounds like the cause.

When your car was off the ground did you give the wheel a spin and listen? or feel it with your hands while you rotate the wheel freely?

It may not have play but the bearing may still be on it's way out.

It could also be your tires, as you said they were feathered... worn tires can be very noisy and feel like other front end parts are on their way out.

the bearing needs true load to make noise.. spinning it up in the air won't work unless it's pretty severe.. we had a van come in today that would humm on the road test but in the air you would only hear a slight noise with the steth. so listen carefully!
