What's your Gas Milage?

Km's travelled, divided by the Litres added after travel, multiplied by 2.83 = MPG

This was given to me by a hot rod friend of mine.

Mine....Auto......(go ahead and laugh, I don't care)

Worst.....around 27 MPG (that was before the motor blew)

After it blew, I replaced it with another DX motor, (the same that was once in there) That was around 1 1/2 years ago........

NOW........

winter (lately) around 33-34 MPG

Last summer.......around 36-37 MPG

Best......all hwy......46.41 MPG baby! (Going to Detriot last year)

This is also doing around the speed limit.......ie 100-110KM.

Never really checked to see what it would be if I did faster than that. I don't travel at 110+ all the time, so I don't know.

What do you guys get?

How can it be accurate...

Sometimes you use AC to defog, or idle longer, etc. And why 2.83?

For anyone's information. The conversion PULOVR has given is for Imperial gallon. This is (signifiacantly) different from the U.S. gallon. Do not use this conversion if you are trying to compare with U.S. information. For the conversion in U.S. gallons use 2.37 instead of 2.83.

racin chick: I would be happy if I got 300 km to 50 litres in my Trans Am in the summer and it only takes premium. But the torque of a 5733 cc V-8 is hard to beat...
