What engine mod next?

Transmission is a good thing to look into. Obviously, 0-60 won't be your strongest forte based on what you have done so target transmission should enhance your driving pleasure, as oppose to speed.
LSD, shorter Final Drive, clutch, flywheel... etc.

Before going any further I would seriously consider doing either a motor swap or some sort of forced induction (turbo, nitrous, supercharger). I understand that you have already spent a decent amount of money into you project, but if you really plan on serious HP I would encouage you to think about it.
No, power steering is great!! you get increased HP, less weight and better road feel, but I would not suggest it if you'r using 17"+ rims. (too stiff)
As for the ignition system, I would recommend using it on anything over 200 WHP. Your car will probably run ok with out it. However, running a Capactive Discharge ignition system will only benefit you.
Upgraded Ignition Benefits:
- more complete combustion, possibly allowing you to make more HP
- better ignition timing control boost retard/vacume advance/stutter box
- great for cold start
- better for emissions (hydro carbons)
- better gas mileage
Upgraded Ignition Downfalls:
- expensive
- tends to give audio feed back
- little hard on the distributor cap and rotor (Not DIS)

And unless your going turbo and don't really have any other method of engine management (not a good idea) you wouldn't really get use of the ignition retard. Our little civics start fine in the cold and give good results in emmisions. And like you said its possible to get some hp gains...but possible is the key word. I've seen MSD's and other aftermarket ignition systems be a problem more often then actually help, well on honda's at least.
Go D-series man. No one has faith.
