vibration around 90 - 110kph
Hi there, i just picked up my 92 civic sedan today, and i love it! But i do have a stronger than usual vibration from around 90 - 110 kph? I was thinking a worn bushing or ball joint/control arm? Also i seem to get a bit of a rotating noise from the front left, or possibly from the front itself...
I do have crappy 13" tires on which may not be balanced?

feel the inside of the tire, is there high spots, check your tire for metal bits first so you dont hurt yourself.

i was sort of thinking it could be the bearing...how much is this to fix? (just an estimate...if anyone knows?)

vibrations at highway speeds are generally due to improper wheel balancing.. Overtime as a tire wears out it'll offset the balance too, so you may want to start there.. It's probably the cheapest option at this point.
Take it to a shop that knows what they are doing and they'll be able to tell you if the tires have tread seperation, or rims are bent, etc etc... Some shops don't give a ****, they just balance and give it back regardless of if the tire can ever be properly balanced.
is that rotating noise like a humming sound? If so, sounds like your wheel bearing is wearing out. If the sound isn't very loud, then you don't have to worry to change it right away.. It will just keep getting louder and louder and the bearing breaks down.
replacement wheel bearings run around $150. Most shops will probably charge another $100-150 to put them on. That's for a civic..

check for snow inside your rim. if the car was sitting outside during the snow we just had snjow may have settled at the bottom of your rim throwing the balance off...you dont need a shop to do that. if there is snow just clean it out and see if it still shakes.

bearing ussally cost about 150$, little more or less dependin if you can install it yourself or have a buddy that can..
another thing, check for snow in your rims lol...happen to me one night almost cried

i go for the easy things first. why waste money on a worst case scenario before eliminating the easy stuff first.
