Exclamation Hard Vibration on the highway. what could be the reason for this??

So to make a long story short, I went over an Island (like a sidewalk)
I did not see the island because of thick snow yesterday...

So my car just went over it and boom. I went bouncing in my car.

Now...

I drove to the 401 and my car was VIBRATING HARD....
This is only noticeble when going over 80km/h

What could be the reason for this??

1. Tire is not perfectly round anymore?
2. Spring problem?
3. Alignment problem?
4. ???????????????

bent rim, lowercontroll arm, get it on a hoist asnd do a rim runout test to check for warpage and an alignment to measue your alingment angles an make sure nothings bent which it proablly is if your getting the vibration.

Take your car into a shop and get it checked out
Internet diagnosis is pointless for this

You most likely bent something, or your wheels are full of snow.

X2!
Get your car on a hoist and don't be driving on the 401 in the mean time.

I second the notion that this is pointless but fro the sound of it you prolly bent a rim or two and now your tires are out of balance. how fast were you going when you hit? does the car pull to one direction? it's common that after driving in the snow you rims get packed full of snow and then are out of balance till you clean them off so try clearing the snow off them then drive it to a shop and check for vibration on the way.

Make sure there is no snow or ice bilt up in the wheel rims. On the out side and the inside (kinda hard to get the snow out from the inside of your rim but...).

The chunks of snow and ice that can build up on/inside your rims can cause vibrations at higher speeds.

Aside from that, chances are you bent the wheel rim or something.

^^ditto. get it checked out if its not bent/warped. also the snow inside your rim can mess up ur balance. last night i had good layer of snow in my rims and couldnt drive any faster than 100km/h otherwise its really unstable and vibrates like crazy.

I would see if your missing a wheel weight or a quick visual if the rim is bent.

Nevermind guys. I guess 401 was just frozen??? (401 west infront of Airport)

I drove it the next day with a warmer weather and it went out perfect.
Tried going 130 and it was still a smooth ride.

I would still get it checked out. You still may have bent or damaged something even if the car drives ok.
