i'm just wondering how hard it really is... i changed one of my rear LCA center bushings today and it was a major pita and i just ended up taking it to a shop.... but are some of the other bushings easier to do? or do they all pretty much require a torch?

dont require a torch

you can use a sawzall for them and cut the ring out then pound it out

drill out the rubber first

but yeh there still a bummer to change

hmmm never thought of a sawzall... i guess pretty much any way of getting them out is fine...


as for putting in the new ones... can they just be hammered in with a mallot? or do they need a press?

mallot is fine RIck

BUT.

dont hit the top part of the bushing that is suspended in the middle by rubber, as you can break the bushing that way.

Cut out a piece of wood with a hollow centre so the top of the bushing sits in there, and when you hammer your only pushing down on the outside metal ring of the bushing.

ya good call... i noticed today that a lot of my stock bushings are hardcore toast.... so i'll probably see big improvements....
