Stroker Kits

Stroker kits

Benefits? Disadvantages?

I was thinking of getting a stroker kit for a B16 any goods or bads about it.

the kit came with high compression pistons i was planning to do an all motor setup. is the stroker kit better for boost applications or N/A

thanks for the help

dont stroke a b16. r/s ratio will be 1.52ish:1 from the perfect 1.75:1 it is now. the side oading will be big nd if its the kit i think your talking about just go buy an ls bottom end cause thats what the kit is. its just stupid wrist pin up in the oil control ring groove with aluminum plugs to stabilize the the rings...the idiot who came up with this idea should be shot...dumb asses

yeah if its the tech43 1.9L kit don't buy it.
Like steve said. The wrist pin is really high up in the piston in the oil control ring groove. So the rings tend to not seal properly.
I don't have any personal experiences with this kit, but it looks to be poorly designed.

a stroker I'd only buy in a crate from Spoon or JUN or Mugen. no other way.

but its just cheaper to buy a LS block like steve said...those stroker kits are expensive while LS blocks can be had for super cheap.
If its more torque your after go for a B20...even those are a hell of a lot cheaper than a stroker kit.

Ya true. OEM parts balanced and shaved. They do that because that's the type of racing they do. They sell what they race.

ya the b18c5 we had had 84mm forged pistons and an ls crank. stock type r head. the pistons were beautifull but 15 000 usd was not worth it. paying for jdm name. thats why i hate jdm, big price tag for japanese crap

well yeah, if it's good it's good. OEM honda cranks are superior to many out there, so there is no sense in casting or forging another one when there is already a perfectly useful crank already in existance. remember in Japan the races they do are endurance, and it's a huge shame not to finish. I dunno... I still think Japanese parts (brand name) are superior to a lot of crap we sell and make here.

It is worth it if you can justify the price on your own term. No one else can tell you whether it is worth your dollar or not.
