Vortech & uBerdata?

I am installing a Vortech supercharger on my B16A powered EK hatch. I will be using an OBD1 ECU with uBerdata. Does anyone out that have some experience with this setup? I am looking for some maps, advice...anything!

Thanks!

i have a few boosted b16a maps if you'd like one but i prefer to use crome.
You best bet is to get it dyno/wideband tuned. But i can give you a basemap to get you safely to the dyno.

I have Uberdata 1.66. My tuner was telling me yesterday it's a poor mans tune.

edit: if you'd like I can send you the program. It comes with a stock base map for a b18b and b18c1.

uberdata is a little out dated compared to crome. Crome is freeware as well and comes with a b16, d16z6 and b18c base roms.

I've heard great things about Uberdata....poor man's tune is right. Can't go wrong with free!

I am looking at running my Vortech at 11 psi. I've got RC440 injectors for extra fuel. I've read that with uberdata, there is no need to add an FMU or FPR, so that saves a bit of $$. Plus going back to OBD1 will be nice.....I think I can eliminate that pesky secondary O2 sensor too!

I'll take what ever maps I can find. I just don't want to tow it to a dyno!

search on www.pgmfi.org
You will be able to find maps for similar boosted setups. Just don't beat on the car on the way to the dyno and you should be fine. I mean as long as the engine wasn't freshly rebuilt and its not breaking in before your tuned you won't have to worry too much about running lean and melting your forged pistons or running rich and washing out your new rings that haven't seated yet.
You are right, you don't need a FMU or adjustable FPR, but you should get a better fuel pump. Oh, and when converting to obd1 you will not need to worry about the secondary o2, since obd1 ecu's only use one o2 sensor.

Apparently the OEM d16 fuel pump is good up to 250whp, so unless your going near 220-230, I wouldn't change it. (Correct me if I'm wrong Andrew).

yeah good point, but with FI its very easy to surpass 250whp even on a relatively stock engine. But i doubt it with a supercharger. I've seen nothing but disappointing numbers with supercharged b16's.
But to each his own.
And i am not a big fan of maxing my parts out, thats more stress than they need. Like injectors for example, they say an injector is maxed out at 80% duty cycle, knowing this, i would upgrade to bigger injectors if my fueling needs require anything close to 80% duty cycle (which most cars do).
Oh and just so you know, superchargers like it a little richer than turbo cars since they produce so much heat.

good idea with the supercharger, is it the aftercooled one ?... my buddy has one on his ls integra and dyno'd 275 whp and a crazy torque number too (cant remeber the exact one) it was crazy fast and that was with stock internals and ls trans . Even with the ls trans first and second gear were useless. The vortech units are a million times better than any of the other s-chargers out there.

Yes, mine is the aftercooled Vortech!

A friend hooked me up with a 8 psi map, which should get me going. I am putting in a CRV crank pulley, which I am told bumps me up to 11 psi.
