Springs settleing???

I had my H&R Sports installed at Speedtech, the guy mentioned that they would settle in a few weeks. How much will they settle, and should I get my alignment done? Keep in mind that I'm planning on putting my steelies on in a few weeks, so should I wait for the alignment until then? Thanks.Mike

Incorrect......wait intil you put the steelies on......most systems use the original alinment #'s to line up the wheels correctly......they don't take into account aftermarket wheels with a different offset than the original rims. Some shops do have a program that does take into account aftermarket rims and thier offset, but most shops don't.

Aftermarket rims, depending on the size and offset, put an extra strain on your suspension.....so it's really up to you. I woulkd wait until spring to get it done. Winter tires are cheaper to replace than a set off performance tires. Use the winter ones for now, and in the springtime when you switch back to the nice rims, get the alinement done then.

My 2C's....

It takes about 3 weeks for the springs to settle, then get an alignment.
