springs rates....and weight in rear

is it worth looking into changing the spring rates in the rear if your carrying a lot of weight due to stereo equipment and what not?

thanks

hahaha......well say 200 lbs (might be high, but a place to start)....

for comparison sake...lets say stock EF spring to ITR spring...worth while with the extra 200 lbs?

thanks

stock or aftermarket depending on what u have up front...either way they are gonna be stiffer than whats for a crx

in my 1st gen crx I used wagon rear springs cuz they were stiffer and that enabled me to cut em to have the car lowered and have a comparable spring rate to stock

I'd say go for it ... but be careful.... changing just the rears could cause the rears to be above the fronts in rate and you might get oversteer like your not used too... if you have a big parking lot near your house that is the place to test out the combination.....

Here is a crazy thought... put another set of front springs in the rear... so run 2 sets of front springs. I mean, if you have 200 lbs plus a full tank, then that's almost like having another engine in there, so a set of front springs in the rear would make sense. Don't trip... this is commonly done, more so than you'd like to know.

how the shocks are designed it doesn't seem like the front springs would fit in the rear shocks...
