ok best combo I can think of from that list is this:

for a coil over setup

progress coilovers in the front (350)
and Skunk2 coilovers (new) in the back (400)

for springs:

umm ok I think think up a good combination just use ITR ones

note: this won't nessecarily make the look good .. but stiff in the rear and soft in the front is the way to get the car to have alot less understeer

well most people confuse a drop with increasing the performance of their car then wonder why it still understeers...

those teins are stiff but in the wrong direction I think front and back should be switched

those old realtime integra type r's used 800 in the front and 1200 in the rear... and they would beat bmw and audi's with consierably more power

spring rate is measured in lbs / inch right??

or kg/mm <--- but those spring rates look like this:

8 kg/mm or 12kg/mm (common tien spring rates, there is a conversion I just forget it)

so its basically on a spring who's rate is 400... if you put 400 lbs on the spring... it will depress 1 inch??

so how come with those neuspeed springs when i was installing them.... since i had no spring compressor i had to physically push the springs down and put that top nut on.... but i was able to push it more then 1 inch... and i couldn't push more then 200 lbs myself

it is prolly measured at that load when the spring is under tension....ie car weight on the spring?

Punk ... the reason that happened if you look at the spring there are coils that are far apart and coils that are close together... what that means is it's a progressive spring rate .. a progressive spring rate will have a low spring rate for the start of compression and a high spring rate later on as the spring compresses

so as the spring compresses the spring rate goes up.

BTW, do you NOW see why stock shocks don't last...going to even a ground control coilover DOUBLES the spring rate, which effectively doubles the work a dampener has to do.

what are the stock spring rates? Ans what #'s of spring rates do you look for when buying a lowering spring?

96-00 EX - 165F/80R (P/P) <---- did this not answer your first question?

#s don't matter so much as long as you match it to a shock that's capable of dampening it. ie. Realtime ITR runs like 1000 springs in the back, front is unknown to the public. Personally, something in the order of 400 front 300 back would be ok for me...

but in all honesty, you'll never know the difference, so just get a matched set of springs that look the part, and you like how they ride. Any progressive spring will do that for you.
