im pretty sure that mean that the spark plug gaskets are gone if you take the valve cover off and flip it over you should see four of them.

or its the lower seals under the valve train . . . but there a pain in the *** to change . . . try 4 new upper seals, and if there is still oil leaking change the lower seals

if you over fill the engine by a lot, yes it will flood it.

Your seals are probably gone

i just had the same problem with my car and i fixed it by replacing the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals. I paid like $30 for the valve cover gasket set. It came with the v/c gasket, spark plug tube seals and new grommets, and this was for a b-series, the d-series gasket sets are prolly even cheaper.

Can any one tell me how much overfill is a lot? Say, if oil on the dipstick is about 1.5cm above the maximum mark - is that a lot?

Also, will overfill of engine oil cause the engine not to start?

Thanks.

yes that is ALOT, you shouldn't even fill it to the second dot, should be in the middle of the first and second

i would fill it up to the max point.. why half way? Honda's burn a little bit of oil.. so I dont see why you are "not" suppose to fill it up to the 2nd dot?
