ok, i have my 95 hatch. b16a in it.

if it doesnt sell, i'd like to do a turbo.

no ebay xcess power ****, etc.

i have gotten a quote of about 5g.

turbo, intercooler, turbo pistons, engine work done to handle the boost, new rods, and some other stuffs too.

too much? or, is there anyone reputable who redoes the engine when doing a turbo for a good price?

any help appreciated...i wanna make sure it lasts!!!!!!

$5g's is damn cheap to build an engine and put on a turbo kit. If this was Boost (in hamilton) that quoted you this....RUN!!!!!
Whatever you do, DO NOT go to boost motorsports in hamilton. I know plenty of people who have been taken by those hacks at boost.
A good, prefabbed turbo kit will cost $2500-4000 alone. And rods are roughly $500, pistons $500, rings $100, bearings $200, so thats roughly another $1300, not including a gasket set or any machine work that needs to be done (bore/hone/balancing/resurfacing). Then theres engine management/injectors and of course tuning.
I'd say with a budget of $5000 you could easily get a nice quality turbo kit, with engine management/injectors tuned to make 260-300whp safely on a stock b16.

why not keep your a2 stock? Unless you are shooting for the sky here, I dont see it necessary to build your block.

im thinking more of a reliability/life/longevity outta the engine.

i dont wanna pummel an engine that's not built to take it......

i just wanna do it right when i do it..as for boost in hamilton, i've heard horror stories all last year from people when i was at shows...so, hell no to them!

any good places that dont suck?

260whp is fine on a stock b16a2.

Building it or lowering the compression would be pointless imo and a waste of money. Take that money and invest in a good tune. That's where it counts.

You can make 260whp on relatively low boost with a b16, its all in the tune.
Honestly, theres no good places in or around hamilton to get work like this done. But there are a few in the GTA, like defcon, neetronics, TAG.
Or you could contact weiRtech (on here, aaron is his name) about building you a turbo setup, his craftsmanship is TOP NOTCH, ask chris_si98 he knows. And have me tune it for you for less than $5000.
