shocks
Can a lowered car ever be as smooth and comfortable as a stock car. most mechanics say nothing can match stock springs and shocks. i want to know if a tein springs 1.3"F/1.1"R with KYB GR 2's can be just as smooth as OEM springs with GR-2's.

springs
Well, pretty much as long as you have a lowering spring, its going to be slightly stiffer or stiffer than stock no matter the brand. It might be close, I think those are quite mild, but you'll still notice a difference. The gr2's are definetely an OEM replacement shock so thats a good shock to start with. Even if its not 100% what your car was stock, the ride will be very driveable and comfortable.

if you want a good ride its all about matching the spring rates with the right damper setting on the shock...
the reason oem feels soo good is because they are matched up properly and the dampers of the shocks that come stock are most effective with the spring rates on the stock springs.
you can easily achieve better than oem ride quality... but it depends on what you want out of the ride quality. for me, the best ride quality is being able to feel the road, but it not being too harsh... but for me, best quality is having the best handling and i am willing to sacrifice ride comfort.
if you want it to ride like a cadillac, then don't mix and match and put oem shocks together with lowering springs... you may as well keep your stock honda shocks...
maybe koni reds or kyb agxs would be nice... agxs are good because you can adjust the damper settings to a little firmer or nice and soft and itis a decent quality ride... especially since you aren't sitting too low.
