Rust on Exhaust

Hey.. I recently bought an exhaust, I bought it used.. and it came with a connect pipe to connect to the rear bolt on.. but here's the thing.. i don't think the person that did this used stainless steel.. the muffler is not rusting but the hangers and also the connector pipe are.. is this normal?.. and what should i do?...

thanks

also.. the exhaust is MBRP.. you can check out the exhaust on www.mbrp.com and it's the universal muffler...

it's pertty big... 6" diameter... outlet is 2 1/2" though.....

does anyone know this brand?.. and what do you think of muffler that big....

Rusty hangers are pretty normal...get what you pay for ususally. Not really, can't stop an exhaust from rusting...if rust doesn't kill it, heat and age will...

its a normal thing, but if it bothers you that much, get the rusty parts sandblasted, and use some rust paint on them. will hold up to the elements a little better, but I wouldnt bother.

Expensive exhausts usually come with stainless hangers and all hardware. Sounds to me like you went cheap....but don't worry about it, enjoy it for a few years, then get yourself something real nice.... a Greddy or Tanabe or if you can find it, RS*R.
