Ok, as I said before, I paid $290 for Ractive Headers.


The problem was that they were for a b16 sohc (found it out the hard way as I was installing them, and they didn't fit)

I brought them back and told them my situation. They looked in the book and seen that I was right. But they said that it would cost more for the DOHC b16a2. He said it could cost up to $400-500 !


He said he'd give it to me at cost. He is getting back to me on monday.


What should I do ?

Sell it while you can and get Chikara/Hedman.
Not trying to be a ***** or anything, just IMO.

I told you to take it back right away didn't I? By the looks of the cars in the lot, those guys no squat about engines. B16 SOHC? I've never heard of one. Get the Headmen, or find a used DC or Greddy.

good luck finding used greddy headers.. everyone who buys them are satisfied with their performance..

wont have trouble finding used ractive headers tho

if i were you, id go with quality headers, not ractive...

yes, performance improvements are clearing out some hedman chikara headers. RACTIVE uses not-so-good materials as most people know. Hedman has been doin it for 40 years and use good materials and bends. For the money, hedman all the way. For more money, DC sports is good(most my friends use them)

and there is a BIG diff in price between a D16Y8 and B16A2(double almost)

So, I think the headers are going to have to wait... I guess I might be going interior. We will see. I'll let you know

New store in Hamilton called Dream Sport. They gave me a credit and took back the headers without a problem, and the guy even came down to my house to see what was wrong and they went to toucan in toronto to complain and show them they were wrong but the didn't admit it (toucan) There more of a "rice", if you dont mind me calling it that, store.

Tell them you PAID for DOHC headers, and demand that they give you that. They should be able to give you a deal,,,, I was misquoted at a shop in mississauga, and they ended up selling me a X drilled brake kit for the talon at 50% off the price.

I tried torrey, they wont. They will give me a deal with my credit that I have on what I buy off them.


What else can I get to improve performance on my engine that isn't over $300 ?

I was thinking MSD or something along those lines. I have exhaust minus headers. CAI. What else can I do ?

MSD is a waste of money , unless ure over 200whp and high compression.
