That warm up is normal, but if it happens after the car warms up, you got IAC or other driveability issues that you need to test further on. I didn't read the whole thread, but... well, that's my 2 cents

I don't remember it ever taking that long to go down to lower RPM's. I guess as long as it does that the importance. So know I have to concern my slef with my missing power in second gear.

Distrubutor huh? What is the job of the distrubutor?

the distributor distributes... LOL

Is this ONLY in second gear, or is it an RPM range?

Namely, it distributes spark, one shot per cylinder at exactly the time that the timing is set up for BTDC measured in degrees. But it's prolly like your plugs, wires, rotor or cap... depending on mileage and service history.

Yeah I ma pretty sure it is only in second. That is when I feel it. If it happens else where then it is so minimale that I don't feel it. The funny thing is it's only in the lower second gear rpm's that are affected. When I am gunning it from first to second, I don't feel it.

I know my car is due for a tuning, it has 106000km. I have done the timing belt and water pump. I will go see Joe at Altech eventually and see what he can do for me. I changed the spark plugs liek 1.5 years ago. As long as I have had the car (53000km) I have never changed the wires. When should those be changed?

Ya, your car is due for about $500 in OEM parts just to get it running right again... since you did the timing belt and water pump, that total may be closer to $250 or so... but cap, rotor, spark plugs, prolly wires, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, valve lash adjust, prolly new belts won't hurt neither, and a good brake service... coolant flush, brake fluid, and tranny fluid too.

That's parts alone babs... the parts are pretty inexpensive if you shop around... don't just go to a Honda dealer like a sheep to a slaughterhouse... check OEM suppliers online... like ManHonda and majestic honda.

Well I am not really a guru as far as my engine is concern. I am going to go to Joe at Altech and hopefully I can get a good deal. What do you think i should get tehm to concentrate on. I can do the spark plugs and wires right. Just need the right tools.
