My EJ Civic's exhaust rattles like crazy...
What is the best way to tear out the heat shield? It looks complicated as it is connected to several large pieces that will be difficult to remove.
In addition, there is rust inside my resonator. Should I purchase a used resonator and replace it or should I cut it off and replace it with a straight pipe.

do what i did. i left that **** on for 3 months, then took it on the higihway ripped the **** out of the car got it hot, putit on my buddies hoist and tore that **** right off while it was hot.
Chizzel and hammer and some pulling will do the trick when its hot.
