Red face Squeaks & Rattles oh my!

Just thought id throw a couple things at you guys. Couple strange noises my car makes.

When i press the clutch in sometimes i can hear a squeak noise coming from the tranny it almost sounds like a squeaky bed... it only does it somtimes though not sure what that is.

And my rattler problem (im almost certain its the heatshield) If im in any gear and accelerate hard then just let off the throttle to let the motor wind out. after like 6k theres this nasty rattle and it sounds gross.

Just wanted some other opinions

try putting a little grease on the end of the slave cylinder, that should help with your squeaky clutch

Its the small rubber boot located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, directly behind the rad. Gently peel back the cover or partial remove it. Spray some lithium grease inside. The squeak will come back, so maybe try something a bit thinker then lithium. I used to lube mine everytime I changed the oil.

some high-temp grease from c/t should do the trick.. ive used it on my own civic, its been over a year and it hasnt come back yet. I've also used it on a few of my friend's cars.

im not sure if its the heat sheild it only happens upon de-acceleration...

I dont think its the baffels in my cat cause it doesnt happen at low rpms. Ill bang around the cat with a rubber mallet see if anything rattels.

As for the clutch thanks for that ill get that done soon.. it doesnt happen all the time just sometimes but at a stop light ppl look at my car and are like wtf haha sounds like a old squeaky bed.

Thanks Chris, Andrew & Joe.

youre running an aftermarket header too right? my lower bracket on my dc header broke off a while ago, made a really annoying noise both on the way up and coming down in revolutions. check that out while youre down there.
