My roof sometimes rattles when it is cold. It is so fucken annoying! Does anybody else have this problem???

Are you sure it's your roof? Your body is covered by honda for 5 years, no matter what kind of mods you have, your roof should still be covered...factory sunroof is prolly rattling though, so have them fix it. I had a squeak, and I had to drive a Honda tech around in my trunk, cause it was so annyoing, I stripped everything from the front seats back to the tail lights, and it was still there, so I took it to the dealer and he lay in the trunk (well not the actual dealer, but a Honda technician ) with a stethoscope and he poked around to see where it was coming from, and it was the rear support for the rear shelf where the rear seatbelt enters the rear of the rear seat (yeah, I used rear an awful lot, I know... It's for my amusement, so don't worry about it )

do you have a sunroof? my roof rattled like hell before but i brought it to the dealer and they fixed it no problem.

I have both of the aforementioned rattles and have since found diagnosis on www.jdmfan.com The roof supposedly requires Honda brand sunroof tape to be applied around the seal and the other rattle in the rear shelf required a new moulding strip to be affixed where the shelf contacts the glass. I haven't attempted to fix these as of yet..and I should mention my car is a '93, but it has the same shelf and a relatively similar sunroof so ..just thought that may help!

Yes I do have a sunroof....

It sounds liek it comes form around the sunroof. I have heard of this tape thing before from other people. Is the work covered by Honda??? I would assume so because it seems to be a common common problem.

So can I bring it to Honda and they will be able to fix it at no cost???

Yes, no prob they should fix it. The body is the longest covered thing in the warranty, but....have them call you if they have to invoice you for any work!

..I just read in svc bullitens that it's not actually expressed in the warranty and that any repairs done would be courtesy/good faith repairs.

i got the same problem....the roof rattles a bit...it's a wierd pop sound.

but besides that both my passenger doors rattle like a BITCH. ever since i installed my 10" sub and changed the OEM door speakers (removed that black holder thing), it's been nothing but problems.

in the spring i'll have to take both doors apart and maybe have to reinstallt the OEM speaker holder, but I don't want to.

you mean you removed the rain shield Your speakers are prolly drenched in icy cold water every time it rains. This is the only reason Hondas rattle cuz ppl **** with them, and then can't put them back right...
