i am driving a 2002 1.7EL, i installed the coilover a couple months ago. no i am starting to hear some wire sound as i turn the steering wheel. it sounds "dong dong....." as i keep turning it. i got a friend he has similar problem but he only hear once as he turn to the very left or right, but i can hear 7 times as i turn to the end....

also i found that the height lock on the damper keep losen easily. i heard that it is usually got stucked due to the salt in the winter, but mine is the opposite... it losen itself....

anyone have any idea knows wut's going on? thx

maybe as it get lose, the spring vibrates cause its no longer seating properly and slowly drops. Are you tightning both sleeves towards each other, so they put pressure on one another? Does it have just one sleeve? Could be a ball joint in the front upper control arm or tie rod end as well.

hmm i have the megan coil over and i don't have this issue...hmm maybe you or someone installed incorrectly?

i figured out the sound came from the shock as the steering wheel is turning. the reason is the top tower allen nut and the bottom high lock are both loose.

it could have caused by 1st the bottom height lock loosen and loosen the top allen nut.

i ownder how the bottom lock gets loose..

Pyro, how long have you installed the coilover? my problem started 5 months after installed....
