Not to take over your thread but I think you could help...

I just got a set of reds - the spring seats - do they just slide over the shock? They seem loose, i'm guessing the spring will hold it tight? Those german instruction sheets are worthless.

I can take pics of what i'm talking about if required...

Yes, the spring seats just slide over the shock and will be held tight by the
spring.

The front will face down like a bell and the rear will face up like a cup.

I was actually pretty reluctant to get a whole set for $250...used for a month tho...but still a great deal from a buddy of mine...
I think the orginal price for brand new reds cost $500+?
