How to install exhaust tip?

The default exhaust points downward. (04 civic)
How do I install a tip that points straight out?

Well a straight tip can't physically fit over that.

Haven't seen any other tips that would ideally fit your scenerio..

Best option is to replace the muffler.

cut the stock exhaust tip at the bend maybe?

if u go to my post ( http://www.torontocivics.com/tccforums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58412 ) u can see what my stock tip looked like.. it pointed up.. what i did was cut of about 3" just as it started bending up, and now it sits on it good.. just place the new tip all the way down the stock tip so it sits flush wit the muffler.. know what i mean?
