To tip or not to tip@Timmys, thats the question???
I know everyone loves TimHortons i have atleast one of there coffees once a day some times more and every time i leave a 30-50cent tip, well the other day i forgot to grab change off the kitchen table befor headn to work, i got to Timmys and had to dig threw the (unused)ashtray and i had just enough to cover my coffee&donut but had no change for a tip! when she handed me my drink&donut i didnt get a Thank you, have a nice day, kiss my butt or nothing she just walked away! I thought that was kinda rude so i think im done tipin at Timmys! I havent yet figured out what i ruffly spend at Timmys each year but i bet is around 500$ or more

i buy my cuppa joe at fourbucks and they give me better service without expecting a tip. i mean really, that place is the bomb. if my fruitcake or whatever is the least bit stale they'll exchange it with fanfare. the price for coffee may be steep, but if i'm having a coffee i don't want a 50% chance that it'll either be brewed from soil or burnt like i take with timmy's.
irregardless, tipping at tim's is like tipping a hooker for giving you syphillis. you feel dirty and used when you pull out but still end up going back because hell why not? you've already got the syphillis and she's cheaper than the others.

people who work in an industry where tipping is expected because the wage is so low have a wage that is so low for a reason.
they are trained monkeys. there is nothing to stress about. they can easily be replaced.
so learn something or get a skill.

A timmy hoe makes about $9/hr or whatever the min. wage is.
A waiter/waitress working in a restaurant gets a lower hourly rate ie. $6, + tips. I know some people who are waiters and waitress clearing $200 + from a friday night.

i strongly second this comment.
No offense to anyone cause we are all more or less immagrants to this country but most of the servers are from out of country and they can't get this simply task right. IT"S NOT HARD TO WORK AT TIM"S yet they always seem to **** it up. When you get to your destination and find out that your bagel, coffee/tea, even doughnut is wrong is beyond a **** off!!!!!!! i swear i have never cursed about immagrants more than i have since going to tim hortons. that's why i stopped using them. (plus their ish ain't that great anyway)
now it's spreading to country style so for me i use my back up plan. coffee time....they use an oriental/hungarian/slovanian serving system and they always get it right no matter which location i go to.
that's my share on this topic
