Help with suspension...need springs
Currently have coil overs on my 92 hatchback, but they are too low cause im always hitting some bad potholes in my city. since the snow is gone, there are a lot more now. just about to get my car back on the road, but want to raise it.
dont have the tool to raise the car, and most shops say they can't do it cause i dont have the tool.
would it be easier to buy used springs then just remove the coil overs all together????
and if so what kind of springs should i be looking for? dont want such a low drop due to all the potholes..
leaning towards H&R springs ???
any help would be great thanks..

man if your taking about the general coil over keys, you can do it without them... be careful not to dent the threads and take a hammer to losen them and a crow bar to help get leverage and push and they should come lose to move up! Just try to be careful not to hit the threads or your gonna have to take you the metal file to make them travel again! I have done it many times... started with I have old used coil overs and then I had to do it with brand new ones I got a deal on because they came without keys...

my vote goes for tein springs
they ride mint, and arn't too low that you'll be smacking pot holes and runing your car....i once had coil overs when i first got my EG hatch i used to have...
if it's not an option, a lot of coil overs use the same "keys"
toms motorsports, apc, etc etc etc...same ****, dif pile....probally same chinese manufacturer too :P
