Need suspension help...Guidence
hey, I'm planning on getting some suspension ordered next friday and I was thinking of geting a set of coil-overs because I need to raise the car in the winter and Some Tokico Blue Shocks..
The coil-overs I was planing on getting are the Toms motorsports coil-overs...
now I'm just wondering, are they any good??? will they seeze up after winter??? What should I coat them with to prevent them from rusting/seezing up???
also I mentioned that I want to get the Tokico Blue(s) shocks...are they any good???
would this combo be good???
the drop I'm looking to get is about figer-width between tire and wheelwell.
any other suggestions???
I'd love to keep this work under $900.00 because I'm deciding on selling or keeping the car next summer.
please help a bro out
thanks

I got a better idea... keep the car same height all year round... you don't live in Siberia, you live in a civilized city... KYB AGX paired up with Progress or Eibach springs. OR!!! you can buy a set of stock upper mounts, and then have two susps that you swap in a matter of an hour for stock height winter driving on stock shocks...
Tokico blue is not much more than a stock-replacement shock.
Tom's coilvers, mixed feelings... some say good, most say crap... if you don't want them to seize, use anti-seize I'm serious, Permatex and Loctite make anti-seize compound... it's a silver paste that use extensively on my brake pad slider clips, lug studs, and every susp bolt I ever touch

IMO, if you want coilovers sleeves, Ground Control, Skunk2, or nothing. Some will say different.
If you can't afford the good stuff, stick with a nice shock/spring combo. H&R Sport with Tokico Blue will be fine for year-round driving.

I notice springs/shocks get stiffer in winter... cold weather makes the oil thick and makes the shock have higher rebound rates
can't wait to get my KYB GR2 on the Saturn... hehe...even my "winter" car is lowered
