I have the exact same problem. The oil is puddling on the corner of the head gasket and then drips down on to the front of the block. I'm saying to replace the vtec solenoid seal, but also letting you know that it didn't solve the problem for me. So i am going to replace the cam seal with a billet one like in the link in my last post. There is one cam seal on the exhaust side. There is no cam seal on the intake cam b/c the distributor attaches to the intake cam.
Unfortunately in a case like this, you just have to start replacing parts until the leak stops.
I have the new cam seal and will be installing it tomorrow. Its a very simple install. I will let you know if it fixed the leak after in a day or two.

its a little rubber o-ring on the shaft of the distributor that basically does the same thing as the cam seal.....stops oil from leaking out of the head. Its like $3 from honda and super easy to install. Its also the first thing i replaced in my quest to stop the oil leak.

Dan did you ever get this fixed? Have the same issue, my vtec solenoid is leaking and think the head gasket may be leaking a little bit as well. Looking at the message above it was just the solenoid gasket you needed to replace correct? Think you could give me a simple walk through of what is required to change this?
