handbrake
im buying a used civic 2door dx 96. the handbrake doesnt work, what could be the problem and how much is it?

Cable could have broke. Handbrakes are mechanical.
Somebody else on the board might have a better idea than me of the cost.. so I'll let it be.

Yup it sounds like either one cable is snapped or the shoes need to be adjusted. Get it looked at before buying any parts.

Left side is $29.00 and right side is $31.00 from Honda.

so the repair for it wouldnt be expensive right?

Honda Fan makes a good point, my ebrake wasn't working well, I just tightened it and it works perfect now, try tighteneiing it before anything else.
