Handbrake Light On

Handbrake Light On
Hi guys
The last two days I've noticed when I leave my car sitting over night and go to drive the next morning that my handbrake light on the dash doesn't come off.
The hand brake is off, and the rear brakes are not seized as the car can roll in neutral with no reistance. After awhile of driving the light turns off on its own, and it won't come back on throughout the day until the next morning when the car has been sitting.
Any ideas what this could be? Also is the handbrake light sensor in the center console or at the rear brakes? Car is a 1999 Civic EX
