GSR/ SiR / Type r suspension

lower tie bars yes, upper OEM bars yes, radius rods from Leitner or Z10 yes, type R susp YES.
Now... let us discuss why I say ITR...
$2000 for a complete setup with rims... you get all ITR, nicest isht around OEM. Sell the GSRs for $600, that's $1400... if you bought new rotors and isth... that's $250 to refresh ur stockers... that's $1150... plus you sell your brakes for another $200, that $950... so for $950 you got 5 bolt ITR everything.
Now, that was the economics side of it... let us look at the technical side of it:
ITR comes with one of the finest stopping mechanisms out there, and has a 1 1/16 inch master cyl... that's BIG. With the extra power you are making, and extra weight you are hauling, the ITR stuff will be fade-free longer, and will outlast all others. The GSR ones would be good, but you are paying $5-600 for a setup... and for an extra $300 you could have the ITR stuff. Get it?
Upgrading the stock system is an absolute waste, unless you get a Wilwood or KVR kit... but then still you need a new master cyl, prop valve and rear disk brakes. Overall, it comes down to ITR ot GSR... whatever you can afford at this point really.

The brakes are BIG... BIG things weigh a lot BIG brakes stop better than small brakes... what are you after, saving 5 lbs, or are you after stopping 10 ft sooner. You think about how many times you've stopped 1 ft away from something... now think about stopping 11 feet in front of it Provided your tires are up to the task.
