hey guys yesterday on my way to work, a loud grinding noise happened, its coming from the right rear wheel, when i apply the brakes the noise stays the same, do you possbly thing the rear brakes are gone, but i notice when i make a left the noise quiets down but when i make a right the noise comes back, im confussied

help would be greatly appreticated

Are you hearing this noise as you drive without the brakes applied?

yea, i took a look at it today and i found out that the brakes were good, and there was a little thin piece of metal that goes around the whole diametar of the shoes it was all rusted and i just pulled it out and the grainding noise went away
