Everytime I Brake At Low Speeds, It Makes A Grinding Noise

Today I noticed that my car is making a grinding noise whenever I brake a low speeds. The pads have a lot of life left and the rotors seem to be in good condition. What do you guys think it is?

Might be your drums. Something could be stuck in them and making it sound bad. Is it a grinding noise like when you grind your gears or is it more of a rubbing noise?

Rubbing, but the noise is coming from the front.

Mine make the same noise. But I know its my rotors, and my rear drums are worn as well.

(I'm doing a x drilled gsr brake swap within a weeks time.)

Looks like I'm either taking it to Honda or Speedy to get my brakes checked and if worse comes to worse...I'm buying Euro-rotor/Brembo blanks with hawkpads. Wish me luck guys!

I've been reading H-T and they say OEM rotors and Brembo Blanks are not that much different if not very little. It's a "wear item", pretty much why pay more when they're only going to do wear one way or another. Slotted/drilled, I'm not even looking at those, pretty much only for track use only, I'm only going to upgrade the brake pads to the Hawks and go with OEM rotors.

I think Brembo blanks are less prone to warping. That's the real difference.

nothing to worry about.

check if there's meat in ur pads, and as long as ur stopping, ur good.

i think it's coming from ur brake pad shins, cause it's comin for the front, i assume u have rear drums.

make sure the shins are properly in, and if anything, squeeze some 'squeal stop' on ur pads/calipers. it's a thick gel like.

don't waste ur money bringing it to speedy.
they're gonna replace everything from ur brakes to ur rad or something stupid.

you really have to swing the caliper away from the rotor to see the whole surface of the pad to make a safe judgment of pad ware... allot of the time just looking at the edge of the pad while the caliper is normally installed gives a false impression of the actual pad ware. Maybe you are down to the metal lining.

I just got back from the Honda dealership and it is now all fixed! It was just the brake pads, I'm glad it wasn't worse.
