Ghetto Performance Idea
Does anyone think that running an *intake* bypass valve (by this I don't mean the water bypass thingy, but a custom one like the opposite of an exhaust dump) on an intake such that when it is in the "open" position, no filter or at least a very porous filter (maybe metal mesh) is used, would be a good performance mod? For instance, connecting it to a rpm switch to open up at high rpms (say 4100rpms) for a little extra air?
I noticed how much suction exists at my intake hole at higher rpm, its like a figgin central vaccuum!
A little unfiltered air can't be that bad! Am I onto something ghetto but good, or with the change in added unrestricted airflow be useless with the way these cars ecu's and stuff run.
Also, I wonder how many robins and sparrows my engine would swallow! lol
Hmmm
