gas leak?

gas leak?

Is it a common thing for the gas to leak? I don't see any leak but i smell gas when i go in my car. any suggestions on what the problem may be would help.

gas leaks come from many locations in a civic, the gas lines run inside the car, sometimes its a leak on top of the tank, most likley its a small leak if you don't see it and it evaporates before dripping, check the lines from the tank through the car, remove the back seat, by the one 10 mm in the back crack . . . remove the cover under there check the top of the pump, check the lines under the car where they enter the car, usually it rusts where the plastic spacers are . . .easy fix is soem rubber line and some fuel injection clamps, use 2 on each end though !!!! hope that helps

If you changed a fuel filter recently u may have dropped one of the brass seals.
