Get a high flow cat, or regular if you want I dont care wont make a difference, resonator, and I'd go Magnaflow regular muffler with a tail-pipe not built in tip, cuz thats ghey. Dont delete the cat it WILL sound raspy.

eliminating your cat on your stock d won't help you gain much. the car will be so loud and you'll be getting tickets left, right and center. just go with a custom exhaust. high flow cat, twin resonators, and a vibrant stealth flat black muffler or something. that will be real quiet.

You have a header, what about mid-pipe? If you just get header and axle back, and keep the mid section stock, there is no point really.

Now with the header, get a cat (make sure the header collector fits the cat), use ITR mid pipe (modify the front if needed be) and use a magnaflow oval exhaust.

That should be at least 2.38", good enough for D16.

Whatever you do, keep the cat. It doesn't really make all that of a difference, and it gives you a peace of mind.
