the engine kinda shakes and is loud when cold, once i rev it it is fine, but when left idle it begins to become loud once again

what can cause this???

does it sound like there is anything vibrating.. i broke the plastic piece beside the drivers side window and it rattled the whole car. only on idle too.. or does it sound engine relateed?

could be lots of things.........I had similar symtoms when my head gasket started to go....it idled roughly, like loud then soft, loud then soft, do u notice a loss in power?

Any CEL codes?

Check your idle control valve. I had the same problem. Just pull it off and run some brake cleaner through the little grates you see. Let it dry and stick it back on.

whats the Idle rpm the engine is at when cold? how are the engine mounts? thanks

rpm when engine is cold is around 2 which i guess is normal

i'm goin in soon to get the valves adjusted see if that works

and if not then i dunno
hopefully the mechanic i'm going to knows!!

engine mounts .... thats my guess if those are ok then I dunno rocking and movement oif the whole engine is ussually not the valves....
