Engine Buring Oil
Can anyone here name any reasons as to why an engine would loose engine oil??? The car has no oil leak, no blue, or white smoke or anything just burns oil. between oil changes 5k the car will need about a liter or liter and a half to top it up again. its a f22 motor and its auto.

The second (middle one) piston ring is designed to be a tapered oil scraper and when it wears down to flat, as oppose to angled from factory, it can no longer keep oil from entering combustion chamber, therefore, a little oil will be brunt everytime.
If the engine is ran too rich, the extra fuel will wash down the oil lubricating the piston ring against the cynlinder wall, and it will promote premature wear as stated above.

I heard that Lucas makes a good additive to the oil that helps with the car burning oil, if its the valve seals it can help lube em up. Or do what my grandpa says and put some trans fluid in with ur oil (which I wouldnt recommend, grandpas always have quirky bandaid fixes)

Mine will eat a litre or so of oil in the span of 5000 to 8000km's (b16a2). Seems normal for a b series. Don't know about the f series.
and yeah, try lukas oil suppliment, I used to use it on my old pickup and it worked great.

don't be concerned with a lil bit of oil burning. my daily driver has incredible gas mileage and uses a lil bit of oil... much like yours. I've been driving it for over 2 years now, and it's super reliable. just top it up and you'll be fine.
also, use some seafoam in the oil for 500 kms just before you change the oil... that way if there is any gunking of the oil control rings, i'll loosen it up and let the oil control ring work properly again.

you shouldnt be too worried about it ur just gettin blowby. while it sucks up the excess gas it takes some oil with it.. my car is the same about 5k i lose about half a litre. but u will know that ur PCV valve is actually working. think about it this way when some runs there car realli hard you always see some blue smoke (not to much thou) its just oil gettin sucked up by the pcv valve and gettin burnt.
