Buring a movie, but file size is too large, pls read!

OK, I posted awhile back about burning an svcd, well I cant figure it out. I know how to actually burn an svcd but my file is like 720MB which is too large for the cd, especially when I use svcd/vcd it makes the file like twice the size. I just got a dvd player that reads vcd, svcd etc.. so i wanted to burn these movies to watch on it. Can anyoen help me do this ??? I have Nero by the way!

Does your burner support overburning?

What media are you using?

What burner are you using?

What version of nero?

VCD's burn like audio - the file size is different than the time.
A full audio CD is 80 min of audio - but on your hard drive it's 720MB.9i don't know the exact number)
It's the same for VCD - just follow the link ^^^ and read the FAQ. It'll help a ton.

Damn I'm feeling old - I started burning VCD's in 1999! crap I remember encoding mp3 with "L3enc" - in DOS!!!!

another suggestion you could do is use a video editing software to split the video in half so it'll fit on 2 cds.. but thats just a suggestion... whatever is easier for you..

if you just want to keep it as either one of those formats then what i would do is chop the video in half.. if you notice.. sometime vcd's come in two cd's to complete the whole movie...

goto http://www.divx.com... or u can go on kazaa or somthin and look for their divx pro.. really good comprsserr

OR, sometimes overburn will cause the cd not to read in some players, so although its a hassle just break the movie up into 2 sections
