Coilovers seizing after winter?

Thinking about getting Tein Basic coilovers. But I've been hearing that coilovers have a huge chance of sezing after winter. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes it happens but your chances are higher depending on the coilover. The cheap sleeved coilovers seem to seize more often sometimes once you drive through a puddle, lol.

I have the Tein SS, and had no problem. I heard Tein used to have some problems with this, but they claimed to have changed the coating on them to stand up better to winter conditions.

^^ I think coating the sleeve with grease or something would be better then adjusting them....

If you get the tein ss' with pillowball upper mounts, do you need a camber kit?

I put one on, best way to tell is to take the car for an alignment after you install. The shop will tell you if they can adjust it. The pillowball mounts give some flexibility, but in some cases not enough.
