code 5

finally started her up tonight... loud as hell .. ( open headers

) n e ways runs beautiful but its throwing code 5 MAP sensor
so what does this mean and how do i fix it?
its a mechanical problem or disconnected piping?

what to do?

check your map sensor...if its not that you may have zapped your ecu. Thats what i did

i'll see if the wires are getting 5volts.. if so its the map sensor... if not that the vacuum lines.. could the ecu cause that code to be thrown?

yup my ecu was zapped and it threw a code 5. does it run fine or does it stumble and idle retarded?

well i started it up .. ran beautiful.... then i got cel.. turned it off.. then started again.. then it reved up and down up and down... i only started it twice

hahaa i'll try again tommorrow
