"clunk" sound when braking...

i recently got new rear pads and rotors, same pads for front as they are still good and turned the front rotors. brakes work good so i think.. i noticed that now everytime i brake to a stop i would hear like a "clunk" sound when completely stopped. this is just normal driving and stopping. i am not speeding before coming to a stop and jamming on my brakes by no means.....if i come to a stop extremely slowly ( not reallyt normal) then i don't hear it. any ideas if this is a concern?

thanks

id have to hear the clunk to determine what it is. But I would check the front end for sure.

Funny enough, I had this similar experience and it turned to by my horn support broke off, so the horn was dangling by the wire and when I braked hard, it swong and bang on the rebar; when I brake at a slow speed, it did not touch.

I am not sure how 94 Civic is like, may not be the case, but I guess anything is possible before you did a full examination.

brakes don't have play in them to be clunking around like that unless you have the wrong pads. like chris said, bring it to a shop and get the front end checked out.

sounds like one of the sliders is sticking. Do you lube them when you did your brakes, its quite common usually if the sliders get dry.

Sliders never causing clunking. They can cause spongy break pedals, terrible pad wear. But NEVER a clunk.

However, caliper bushings can cause a clunk on brake application.
