Cheapo Tach

I have an automatic (*shudders*) 93' DX Coupe.. it has no tach, and i was at walmart last week and saw a cheap tach that has adjustable redline up to like 8500.. it was only like 28$ and wasn't offensivly large and ugly. How hard would it be to install something like that? A easy under-one-hour-one-man job?

red goes to switched +12v on the fuse panel

blk goes to ground on the chasis

the white can be tied in with the +12v as well, that just means the light will stay on as long as the car is on

or you can tap into your driving lights

green is tach wire, there is a small blue wire under the hood by the firewall on the drivers side, you can tap into that for a tach signal

now you done did it

yeah... there is NO right way to mod a car. We mod it to suit OUR needs, not what some JDM purist may conceive as the perfect car Actually, that's why I was banned from jdmcivic.com
