Burning Rad Fluid

I've got a '95 DX Coupe with the standard 1.5L engine. I've replaced the radiator itsself already but it was covered in rust but aside from that the engine is all stock parts.

I'm running with 5w20 regular non-synthetic oil and 89 octane gas.

It's slowly burning away radiator fluid and I can't figure out why. It's not leaking. At least I don't notice it on the underside anywere.

And I don't seem to have the common signs of a going head gasket.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It stay at the normal 1/3rd position unless I let the rad fluid run down.

As for my muffler it's got a huge hole in it right now so I wouldn't be able to tell anyways.

20W50 in cold climate?? wow... I don't know what to say

it's likely you're leaking coolant somewhere rather than burning it. have the system pressure tested and leakdown tested, then go from there.

when you replaced the rad did you use the stock clamps or use a stronger hose clamp?

also did you use new rad hoses or reuse your stock ones?

might be leaking at the bottom, but not enough to notice

When was the last time you changed your water pump? These were the exact symptoms of my car and then the timing belt snapped and there went the whole motor. Get it checked out ASAP...I'm sure someone can check it for you for free.

Is anyone will to check it for me?

The water pump and the timing belt I've both thought of but I don't know how to check them.

The car is all stock except the radio, rad, battery, and hood.

265,000Km now. My new job is helping me put major clicks on her so I'm starting to get concerned.

I want her to last until I start to drop major money in upgrades and repairs.

I was even thinking of getting an integra to drive while she's upgraded then upgrading the integra while I driver her then driving both.

New clamps but old hoses. And they have been checked already.
