Bubbling Coolant

when ur coolant blows bubbles does this mean that the HG is goin on its last leg? and when ur coolant "mysteriously" goes away is this an indication of HG failure?

thankfully its not my car its my roomates 92 talon esi...his coolant was super low and when I was putting more in it was all bubbly like a brook and foamy too

there was no coolant in there to see if it was dirt or not...it was just bubbling and foamy when we topped it up...and there are no leaks I could see externally...ahwell he only needs the car to last till april
