I'm swapping a b18b1 into my 93 cx hatch so I have an idea for what you need. You'll need the ecu(make sure its the correct one i.e. OBD-I), mounts/brackets(front of block, front of tranny, rear of tranny), manifold w/ downpipe, throttle cable, and shift linkage.

the year doesnt matter it will still bolt to any b-series tranny so he's fine as long as he gets a hydro tranny (b-series)

dont' expect it to run for 150 bux..

you will need timing belt water pump plugs wires cap rotor clutch tranny axles ecu...lot's of stuff not worth putting a 150 dollar motor in a car without compression leak down and head removal to make sure she is nice......oh ya 20 bux there are alot of broken sensors on it....proceed at own risk...jsut buy a complete swap and use that block as a spare or to build up......

only if you chip it .... it was designed for a 1.6 liter engine and your installing a 1.8 liter engine on top of that your si engine has vtec the b18b doesn't and therefore you'll throw a code for the vtec solniod since it's not present

you can even use your stock ecu....
the car will start and run, but it will run on limp mode...
thats how i was running my car like for a month until i found the right ecu....but even after i installed the new ecu...it felt similar, not too much of a differnce....except the light went away...
