Question B series Fuel rail questions and concerns

When i swaped in a b16a1 and i had a problem problem getting my hard line(main high pressure line that attached to the stud on the fuel rail) to fit on the stud of the b16 fuel rail.it was too short of a stud and i couldn't fit the washers, nut and cap on top of the line. so me and my 2 friends decided to use a B18A fuel rail since there was one available. the line goes on the top instead of the side like the B16 one. Then gas leaked becaused i didn't know i had to use new crush washers...i bought new washers and a cap from honda. now my question before i install them is should i get a b16a2 or b18c rail? the line fits ont he B18A one...is there a disadvantage in running the B18A rail? does it still do the same job of the B16 one? am i gonna loose any fuel pressure? i was told if i run a fpr i wouldn't have to worry about anything w/the B18A rail.i have a B&M fpr,not installed,it needs a gasket or an o-ring on the inside according to my friend that gaved it to me.i haven't opened it up yet and i have no clue as to what it looks like. Anyone with experience and insight about the 2 rails please share

peace
