if you have a new clutch and everything was installed properly then its most likely your syncro's... may as well look for a new tranny rather then replacing them cost wise

if it has a new clutch and the linkage is ok then yes it is your synchro's...nto worth rebuilding jsut find a jdm tranny......a rebuild is very $$$ and nto worth it on a honda...

someone told me it could be the motor mounts, and or tranny mounts (worn or loose) and or possibly the 1-2 "shift fork" i've never heard of that, anyone know what that is??? let me know. thanks

what about the shift fork? there isn't much to wrong? am i right? i think they talking about the fork that engages the clutch where the bearing is hooked up to.. its boletd onto you clutch "shaft" so i dunt see what the problem could be?

the shift fork connects to the synchromesh device and slides it up and down to engage different gears...if it is bent then it won't engage the synchromesh and gear correctly causeing a grind...this isnt' as common and a crapped out blocker ring which will cause the gear to not be fully synchronised with the other and grind...

try changing the MTF, if it works.......there goes 25 bux and your laughing.

i had a slight grind shifting from first to second @ redline.....changing the fluid fixed it. (this was with Honda MTF)
